½cupmilkthis recipe uses unsweetened soymilk, but you can also use the milk of your choice
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1tablespoonolive oil
¼teaspooncinnamon
Instructions
Mix milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
Break bagels in half and place inner-side down in shallow dish.
Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan on medium high heat. Once the pan is hot flip the bagels to wet the outter side of the bagel.
Add bagels to the hot pan, inner-side down first!*It's important to place the bagel inner-side down first. I just think it makes the bagel taste and look even better. Cook 1-2 minutes and then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Enjoy!
Notes
Serving size = 1 halve but depending on your hunger/energy needs you may eat 1.5 or 2! I usually eat 1.5 and my husband will eat 2 halves (just to show as an example).
Choosing a whole wheat bagel will increase the fiber
Using a milk other than unsweetened soymilk will change the nutritional value. Whole milk will add more calories etc.
Sprinkling your bagel with ground flaxseed prioring to cooking in the pan will add fiber
