Make French toast batter by mixing the milk, vanilla extract, egg white and cinnamon in a shallow (see equipment picture above for example) dish.
Put a large skillet on the stove, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and turn the heat to medium.
Once the pan is heated start dipping the bread in the batter. You'll want to dip each side quickly and then place in the pan to cook. Press the bread down with a flip spatula after 1 minute of cooking. Cook for ~3-4 minutes each side.*Generally you can fit 3 slices in the pan at a time.
Continue cooking and adding 1 tablespoon of olive oil as needed. You'll likely need to add oil after ever batch (2-3 slices) that you cook.
Enjoy warm with your favorite toppings!
Notes
Bread Choices for French Toast:
Stale bread works great! Use thick sliced or larger slices of bread vs using regular sandwich bread.
To make fresh bread stale, turn the oven to 350F and bake for 7-8 minutes.
Challah bread works well for French toast if you have it.
